L3 Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety £1,000 + VAT*

*subject to confirmation of location

On completion of this NVQ you will be able to apply for a CSCS card, the card costs £36 direct with the CITB.

L3 will lead to a Gold Supervisory card for Construction Health and Safety Officer and the L5 will lead to a Black Managers card for Construction Health and Safety Manager.

The table below offers further advice on the recommended Level if you are unsure what is most suitable for your circumstances.

Level 3 Certificate

If you lack any existing level 3 health and safety qualifications, but have some (limited) health and safety responsibility, authority and autonomy, we recommend starting here first. You can always progress to the NVQ Level 5 Diploma later.

Level 5 Diploma

If you already have the NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification (like the NEBOSH Certificate) and you have specific health and safety responsibilities, together with significant authority and autonomy and can influence organisational policies/procedures, you’ll typically already be a health and safety manager/advisor within a senior management team.
