ELCAS - Enhanced Learning Credits Scheme

Our mission is to support you in achieving the specific NVQ qualification to then apply for the relevant CSCS card ( Level 3 up to Level 7). We can also offer all elements of training from Health and Safety Awareness, SSSTS, SMSTS and Temporary Works through our accreditation with CITB and also NPORS / CPCPS for all Plant Operations. The MOD’s Enhanced Learning Credits Scheme (ELC) promotes lifelong learning amongst members of the Armed Forces. The scheme provides financial support in the form of a single up-front payment in each of a maximum of three separate financial years. You are reminded that ELC funding is only available for pursuit of higher level learning i.e. for courses that result solely in a nationally recognised qualification at Level three or above on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) (England, Northern Ireland and Wales), a Level six or above on the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) or, if pursued overseas, an approved international equivalent qualification with an approved learning provider.

Who is eligible for ELCAS?
ELCAS is available to UK Armed Forces personnel who have completed a minimum of four years of service and are still serving or have left the military within the last ten years.

How much funding is available through ELCAS?
Eligible individuals can receive up to £2000 per financial year towards their course fees, up to a maximum of £6000 over three years.
Can ELCAS be used to fund courses outside of the UK?
Yes, ELCAS can be used to fund courses both in the UK and overseas, as long as the course provider is registered with ELCAS.
How do I apply for ELCAS funding?
