This course is aimed at people who are responsible for assembling, dismantling, moving and inspecting mobile access towers in the workplace.

Duration: 1 day – minimum of 6 hours

Delivery

Instruction both in theory and practical sessions with assessments, course numbers are a maximum of 1:12 instructor delegate ratio.

Course Aims

The aim of this course is to provide an in-depth knowledge of safe working practices involved with the use, maintenance, inspection and moving of mobile access towers, and at the end of the course you will have the competence to erect, use, maintain and dismantle these equipment safely.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this training, delegates will be able to:
Understand relative legislation and standards for mobile access towers
Safely assemble, dismantle, relocate and alter a mobile access tower without risk of personal injury to the delegate or others.
Identify and control risks with mobile access towers
Use approved build methods

Grant: Tier 2 = £140 per person

If a candidate has been paid grant for a particular course in a lifetime, they will not be eligible for grant again for the same course, unless it has specific refresher standards published on the short duration course register.

If refresher course standards do exist for a particular course, then only one refresher is grant eligible in a lifetime for each candidate.

Health and Safety Statement

Since the assembly and use of mobile access towers can be physically demanding, users should be physically fit and in good health, and should generally, not have problems with eyesight or hearing, heart disease, high blood pressure, epilepsy, fear of heights, vertigo, giddiness, difficulty with balance, impaired limb function, alcohol or drug dependence, including prescribed drugs or psychiatric illness.

Certification

A accredited photocard and certificate will be issued to successful delegates who complete the theory and practical sessions which have a five-year validity period.
