  • CPCS Piling Rig – Bored below (A47) and above (A48) 20 tonnes Piling Training
  • CPCS Piling Rig – Driven below (A45) and above (A46) 20 tonnes Piling Training
  • CPCS Piling Rig – Tripod (A30) Piling Training

Piling Rig – Bored below (A47) 15 tonnes

Piling Rig Ticket Course Aims

To provide thorough theory and practical training in operating a Piling Rig, enabling the candidate to pass the CPCS Theory and Practical Tests.

Course Content of Pile Driver Operator Training

  • Describe the nature of the sector of industry and their role and responsibilities as a plant operator.
  • Name and explain the purpose of principle components, the basic construction, controls and terminology.
  • Confirm with Manufacturer’s requirements as per the operators handbook, other types of information source and the relevant regulations and legislation.
  • Undertake all pre-use plant checks.
  • Confirm and ready for travel.
  • Explain the procedures and precautions to be taken when travelling over rough, undulating ground.
  • Manoeuvre in confined spaces.
  • Position, configure and set for driven works.
  • Explain action required for hazards, underground and overhead services.
  • Accurately install displacement piles to completion.
  • Comply with signals and instructions.
  • Explain plant lifting requirements and limitations using a piling rig.
  • Carry out shut down and secure procedures.
  • Explain the de-rigging, loading and unloading procedures for machine transporting

Duration of Training

To be confirmed on completion of Initial Analysis, dependent on experience.

Test 

To achieve the Red CPCS Trained Operator Card candidates must pass both the CSCS touch screen H+S test (within the last 2 years) and the CPCS Theory Test and the Practical Test. 

To upgrade the Red CPCS Trained Operator Card you will have to achieve, within 2 year, the relevant NVQ – For more information on required NVQ contact Tel – 01623 287830

 

Piling Rig – Bored above (A48) 15 tonnes

Piling Rig Ticket Course Aims

Piling Rig Ticket Course Aims 

To provide high quality training and testing in the safe and effective use of plant and machinery to enable the candidate to attain the CPCS Red Operator Card.

Course Content of Pile Driver Operator Training

  • Name and explain the purpose of principal plant components, the basic construction, controls and terminology
  • Conform with manufacturer’s requirements as per the operator’s handbook, other types of information source and relevant regulations and legislation
  • Undertake all pre-use plant equipment checks
  • Configure and ready for travel
  • Travel over rough, undulating ground
  • Manoeuvre in confined spaces
  • Position, configure and set for driven works
  • Explain actions required for hazards, underground and overhead services
  • Accurately install displacement piles to completion
  • Comply with signals and instructions
  • Maintain safe working situations
  • Explain lifting requirements and limitations using a piling rig
  • Carry out shut down and securing procedures
  • Explain the de-rigging, loading and unloading procedures for machine transporting

Piling Rig – Tripod (A30)

Course Aims

To provide high quality training and testing in the safe and effective use of plant and machinery to enable the candidate to attain the CPCS Red Operator Card.

  • Name and explain the purpose of principal components, the basic construction, controls and terminology
  • Conform with manufacturer’s requirements as per the operator’s handbook,other types of information source and relevant regulations and legislation
  • Undertake all pre-use checks
  • Position, configure and set plant for driven and bored works
  • Explain actions required for hazards, underground and overhead services
  • Accurately form bored piles to completion
  • Comply with signals and instructions
  • Maintain safe working situations
  • Explain lifting requirements and limitations using a tripod piling rig
  • Carry out plant equipment shut down procedures
  • De-rig the tripod and prepare for movement

Duration of Training
